Bottega Veneta Shoulder Bag
Filed under: Bottega Veneta , Shoulder Bags
While Bottega Veneta’s signature is their intricate weaving of the most buttery soft leather, they still work with plain leather to appeal the masses. The perfect pairing of brown leather with intrecciato panels on each side, the Bottega Veneta Shoulder Bag brings the best of both worlds together in one handbag. The flap over top has a faux padlock clasp fastening. The adjustable shoulder straps are a nice touch. The inside of Bottega bags is so lush, with their suede lining, that your fingers begin to feel guilty touching such a supple material. This handbag exudes style, with a subtle hint of the signature for Bottega Veneta, and lovely brass hardware. Stunning at NAP for $2450.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Denim
Since it was released, I have loved the monogram denim line. It is casual chic, with the logo still visible but a little less noticeable and a laid-back touch of style. Especially when I am in the Mid West, but even when in south Florida, laid back style goes a long way. Louis Vuitton offers an array of Denim products to meet your fancy! My next trip to the fabulous Bal Harbour Louis Vuitton shop will include my perusing the denim collection and picking up a little piece of blue.

Lambertson Truex Bradley Canvas and Leather Tote
Filed under: Bag Deals , Totes
Lambertson Truex is a designer that hones in on clean lines and elegant products. While canvas is not always easy to keep clean in light colors (like white), it still is a great sturdy material. The Lambertson Truex Bradley Canvas and Leather Tote carries a cute appeal, with a white canvas body and gold metallic leather trim, and an amazingly low price tag. There is a double shoulder strap, a snap closure, and two interior mesh pockets. When looking to buy a canvas bag, the price should indeed be low. I can not justify spending over $1000 on a Prada Nylon bag nor can I justify spending over $400 on a canvas handbag. Perfect for Lambertson Truex, because this tote costs a mere $295 at Saks (white is available for pre-order, but brown is readily available).

In the News: NYC Plaza Hotel Reopening
One of New York’s most recognizable hotels is celebrating its birthday with a bag tonight. 100 years of luxury and service, New York City’s Plaza Hotel has become a staple to New York and the world. The Plaza has been under renovation, turning part of the space into some of the hottest and most expensive condos in NYC. The hotel will still be open, offering its meticulous and detail oriented service, with room rates starting around $800 and booked for the next few months. If you are one of the lucky to be at the party tonight, you will be enjoying delectable mini-Plaza cakes, fireworks, and many other luxuries. My father is one of the lucky ones, he is in NYC right now enjoying the 100th Birthday of the Plaza. Hopefully he will let me in on some of the great details of one of the biggest parties and biggest anniversaries of NYC history!

Jimmy Choo Alex Suede Hobo
I already posted about this bag, inquiring if you all thought it was fab or drab. Today I will reveal that I think this handbag is totally fabulous and even more stunning in navy! The Jimmy Choo Alex Suede Hobo is slouchy, lush, and finished off beautifully with the navy suede and exotic water snake trim. Gold hardware is not always top on my list, but when paired with the right materials, it gives a handbag the perfect edge over the rest, looking sumptuous and divine. There are calf leather shoulder straps and suede lining on the inside. Measurements are perfect for every day use; 15½”W X 12½”H X 5″D. Are you still searching for that perfect fall/winter handbag, or just looking for another to add to the list? Skip over the brown and go straight for the blue. Via Saks for $1975.

Michael Kors Chain Shoulder Bag
Michael Kors is able to offer us a designer handbag for a more friendly price tag. Not quite under the $1000 mark, the Michael Kors Chain Shoulder Bag sports cream leather accented with gold hardware. Some days I begin to question these handbags that I love, watching the price tags sky rocket. Is the price really worth it? Are we getting what we pay for? Even with this handbag, sure, it is cute and perfect for that light colored bag. But the tag is still hefty, considering all of the other expenses in life. The chain detailing along with the long zipper pulls are cute. I suppose what I am saying is that I like this bag, but I would not buy it. At Net A Porter for $1095.

Introducing: Katherine Kwei Handbags
One of my first stops when looking for new designers in the handbag world is Lux Couture. Lux Couture, dubbed the haute spot for designer handbags, often introduces the work of new designers who ultimately make a name for themselves. The people behind the website, like the fabulous Sari Brown, are on top of the game. Sari introduced me to the stunning designs behind new designer Katherine Kwei, and it is evident with the meticulous craftsmanship and funky designs that these handbags are sure to be a hit. Lux Couture put together a fabulous bio for Kwei, which can be read below:
A former PR rep for luxury giant Louis Vuitton, Kwei was familiar with high-end skins and craftsmanship long before she started her own line. By drawing on her heritage and the tradition of Chinese knotting to make her modern luxury bags, Kwei gives her designs a special, personal quality (a far cry from what you find with her former employer’s logo covered totes). There’s no decorative bling or extras, it’s the intricate knotting that makes these bags so stunning. You might think so much handiwork would make her bags seem precious, but they look edgy and tough – a perfect representation of the modern woman who’s both feminine and strong.
Coming from a designer background, Kwei picked up on what the eye loves and hones in on her skill of knotting and crafting her materials to design stellar handbags. Available on Lux Couture right now are the Katherine Kwei Donna Clutch and the Katherine Kwei Teresa Hobo. The clutch uses shiny water snake with slit tactic to shape the material into strips and then is knotted at the bottom. The hobo is a treat for the eyes, featuring knotted strips of leather that are so precisely devised that the hardware can barely be seen by the eye. With the amount of time that must go into this handbags, the price is beyond reasonable. And the more I am looking at these handbags, the more I am falling in love.
Buy the clutch for $850 and the hobo for $700 at Lux Couture.

Chloe Cream Paddington
Sure, some of you may be totally over the Chloe Paddington, but this craze is still going on to this day. There is something about the chunky hardware, the thick leather, and that extremely heavy lock that makes all the world want this handbag. Face it, this is a hit bag, not just a seasonal trend. If you ask anyone in the fashion industry they will let you know that the Chloe Paddington became a staple in the handbag world, bringing in millions of followers world wide. I still use my Taupe Paddington Tote from time to time, and my beautiful Rouge Paddington Satchel has my attention here and there too. For fall and winter, a lush Chloe Cream Paddington will spice up your wardrobe. The color is defined as sand, but it appears like a creamy treat, accented with gold hardware. The rest of the bag is just like any Chloe Paddington, featuring double top handles, two slit pockets, canvas lining, a key attached to the handle, and, of course, the signature padlock. This may be the color for you if you have been searching for a first, or want to add to your collection. Through NAP for $1540.
